Brake Pedal Design
Oravec, Peter ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on brake pedal design of Formula Student vehicle. The first part of thesis is focused on main parts of car’s brake systems. Main goal of thesis is to determine value of pedal ratio to gain optimal operating force acting on pedal. Low weight and functionality of the pedal were important factors affecting the research. The design of pedal arm and its holder was checked by final element method and was redesigned according to results.
Design of operator workplace of machining center
Kříž, Jan ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented work contains the parameters and rules relevant for the design of the inter- face between the machining center and it's operator. All of information were obtained by search in scientific literature and technical standards and subsequently were sorted according to the elements to which they relate. The work contains the actual anthropometric dimensions, description of the interface elements with references to standards which relate to them. The study also shows an example of an optimized keyboard layout for machine tools and methods applicable to design the spatial layout of the workplace. In conclusion there is evaluate the state of currently available literature and technical standards.
Formula Car Pedal Assembly Design
Pech, Zdeněk ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis is the formula car pedal assembly design. The introduction of the thesis presents the possible design variants of the car pedal assembly of the current vehicles completed with requirement that are demanded from them. Furthermore, there are mentioned and described individual elements of the car pedal assembly including their principle and function. The thesis mentions collected basic information about the design of the components. On the basis of this mentioned information the thesis aims for the design including the choice of appropriate and relevant components. The final design of pedals and the basic console results from the mentioned calculation of stress analysis. In conclusion of the thesis there are evaluated achieved results that are compared with the current pedal assembly and there are presented the possible ways of designs with the respect to their production.
Production of bicycle pedals with FDM 3D printer
Kříž, Martin ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with design and production of bicycle platform pedals using Fused Deposition Modeling. The thesis begins with overview of FDM method, its principle, applications and common used materials. The paper continues with analysis of design requirements and stress behavior of pedal body under various riding conditions. In the next section are presented three designs of pedal body, created according to design requirements and manufacturing method. Individual designs are evaluated using computer stress analysis. The main part of the thesis describes production of the first prototype from its initial design to the manufacturing process and final testing. Thesis follows with production of redesigned version of pedals based on collected data and concludes with proccess and economic evaluation
Comparative of muscle activity during the cycling step with the use of clipless and normal pedals
Nováková, Martina ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Comparative of muscle activity during the cycling step with the use of clipless and normal pedals. Objectives: Diploma thesis objective is to compare muscle activity during pedaling cycle with/without clipless pedal. Using EMG we want to establishe, if 6 chosen muscles are showing significant involvement difference for pedaling with/without clipless pedals. Methods: It is combination of empirical - theoretical thesis. Our work consists of intra- and interindividual comparative analytical study. We used two comparative methods for EMG signal evaluation - Pearson correlation coefficient and comparison with use of signed area of the region bounded by its graph. Results: The results of the correlation analysis show a high degree of compliance of the average normalized envelope diagrams for a cycling step with and without clipless. Based on the comparison of areas under the EMG curve, there is no higher muscle activation potential for the classic pedal. Keywords: cyclist, pedal, cycling step, muscle aktivity, electromyography

Concert pedal harps created by world's lead manufacturers
Okénková, Aneta Violeta ; BOUŠKOVÁ, Jana (advisor) ; BRATELJEVIČ, Ana (referee)
Main focus of this thesis is an enumeration of the most important and world's most famous pedal harp makers. Aim of the thesis is mainly to desribe the history of each company and its value in creating the modern pedal harp. Other types of harps with different than the pedal tuning mechanism are not mentioned on purpose and rather than reviewing the history of the pedal harp, a today's concept of creating a modern harp is described in the thesis.
